Zig Ziglar| My Gateway Drug Into |Personal Development.| A Passing Of Pioneer.

Zig Ziglar a pioneer in personal development has passed today November 28th 2012.

This morning I woke up to a text from my wife telling me Zig Ziglar had passed away from pneumonia. It struck me to my core.

A couple reasons one Zig Ziglar was there at the very beginning of my internet network marketing career.

He was one of the very 1st personal development speakers I started listening to. A couple years ago I got involved with a company called Success University.

S.U. as we affectionately called it was a personal development MLM company.

That was my 1st foray into internet marketing/network marketing. I failed miserably, but from that I gained a love of and respect for personal development. By far Zig is one of my all time favorites.

For a couple reasons-

I think one of the greatest strengths of Mr.Ziglar was his sincerity, honesty, and just being so damn personable. All that can be summed up into one word- character.

Next he was just a awesome story teller. Now that may seem like a small thing,but only recently did I learn the true power of that one skill.

I mean all the best sale people, public speakers, and charismatic people in general are great story tellers. “I Hate My Job.” is one of my favorite stories from Zig. I recently did a blog post on it. My second favorite story is the one about the blind folded archer. The point is Zig Ziglar had way of using stories to get his point across.

Which is a technique I recently learned in order to sell better and connect with people. So now when I go back and listen to Zig I’m gaining new insights.

I’m sourly going to miss Zig Ziglar because all he has given myself and people around the world. His legacy is so great though he’ll be helping people long after his passing.
